Firefighter Recruitment Update 2019/2020

 

Hey guys!

Brent Clayton here, giving you another Recruitment Update for all Fire Services in Australia and New Zealand and how it would look like for the remaining months of 2019.

 

What I didn’t expound completely on the video though is that DFES after recruiting in January of this year is actually planning to switch up their recruitment style. They might adopt a rolling recruitment style similar to what QFES did a few years back. With rolling recruitment, people can apply at all year-round and opt for the recruitment stage they’re most comfortable with first and then work through the rest either on DFES’s schedule or on your own time. Again, this plan is still in the making. We will update you if it does push thru.

 

One thing’s for sure, the Recruitment Space is always busy and ever unpredictable. Put the time you have to good use and practice the basics, learn from mentors and ask questions from your peers. That being said, we have a thriving FB Community that’s happy to help anytime. I hope everyone who read this blog become a part of it.
