It’s a great time for all aspiring Victorian Firefighters what with VIC opening its doors to applications on 12 February 2018. Be sure to apply as soon as it opens as recruitment period will run for a short time only.

The best thing about VIC is that anyone with a genuine interest to serve and help the community can apply even previous unsuccessful candidates for MFB/CFA are welcome to give it a try! You don’t need to have prior experience in firefighter volunteerism and emergency services to apply. Check out their minimum requirements and see if you’re fit to become a Victorian Firefighter.

Victoria Fire Service, now known as FRV is very committed to diversity in the workplace. Thus, women and applicants from various cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply. There is a wide range of roles for firefighters from which successful applicants can specialise in as they progress through their careers.

 

Clicking on the ‘Apply’ Button on 12 February might make the difference between still dreaming of becoming a firefighter and actually becoming one so be sure to have all your relevant information, documents and/or certificates with you and be ready to answer employment-related questions as well. All applications received are confirmed via email. Applications that do not comply with minimum requirements will automatically be disqualified.
