Northern Territory Firefighter Jobs Open

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to let you all know that employment with the Northern Territory

Fire and Rescue Service are currently offering a new round of firefighter jobs. Be quick if you are looking at joining the NT Fire Service because there firefighter job applications are only open until the 3rd of March.

For those of you already in the territory this is a great opportunity and for those of you who are looking for an adventure this would definitely be an experience you would remember for the rest of your life.

My first Station Officer spent a couple of years working for the Northern Territory Fire and Rescue and some of the stories he had were very interesting to say the least.

There is a number of ways of looking at this opportunity, it could be a foot in the door to a professional fire service as the competition may be less due to people less willing to move for a period of time etc.

The experience you would gain in the NT would be extremely sort after within the other professional fire  services around Australia, the part that appeals to me about being a firefighter in the Northern Territory is the diversity and difference between NT and just about anywhere else you are likely to work long term, the life experience gained from an experience like this would be invaluable.

If you are going to apply for the firefighter jobs in the Northern Territory just remember there will still be healthy competition and that you will need to be at the top of your game. As I was reviewing the recruitment information this morning, it showed that the testing benchmarks, interviews and all the other checks and balances are there so you will need to be prepared and put your best efforts forward to be deserving of a position with them.
