Daniel Lands a Job with “SAMFS Firefighter Recruiting”

“SAMFS Firefighter Recruiting” Success

Your success story is also our success. Here’s what Daniel Cicero has to say,
SAMFS Firefighter Daniel Cicero

“I commenced training with the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) at the age of 17 in 2010. This was the beginning of my journey to secure a role as an Auxiliary Fire fighter.

I attended training for over 2 years and progressed to the position of an Auxiliary Support Officer in 2013. The role of Auxiliary Support Officer provided support to operational fire fighters.

I continued to train on a weekly basis whilst gaining all the essential skills and requirements towards an eventual 3 month Auxiliary Fire fighter recruit course.

I purchased Brent’s eBook ‘The Process to Success’ in 2013 and had been reading it for some time. I found the book gave me a new understanding of how Australian fire services operated and how recruitment and selection worked. Not to mention, I had been searching for something comparable to this for 2 1⁄2 years and was unable to discover anything to the high standard and extensive range of information that Brent’s book had to offer!

In January 2014 I had the opportunity to travel to South Australia for a 3 month stint as a cellar hand at a winery in the Barossa Valley. Before taking the opportunity, I researched everything there was to know about the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (SAMFS).

I found there was a vacancy for Part-time Fire fighters in the town. I made the decision to relocate from Queensland to South Australia and started working in the winery and applied to joining the SAMFS as a Retained Fire fighter.

During the application process, I applied every piece of knowledge and information I had learnt from Brent’s eBook and after 3 months I achieved my goal of becoming a Part-time Recruit Fire fighter (Retained).

Now that I have achieved the position of Retained Fire fighter I am now well on my way to attaining my long term goal of becoming a full time Fire fighter. To this day, I regularly receive updates and information from Brent and continue to read and study what he has to offer.

Personally, I consider ‘The Process to Success’ gave me the best understanding of the recruitment process and a great advantage in securing the role of a Part time (Retained) Fire fighter for the SAMFS. I cannot rate ‘The process to Success’ highly enough and would strongly recommend the book to anyone considering applying to a fire service.”
