NSWFB Recruitment is the Same as the Other Australia Services

The NSWFB recruitment process is essentially the same as many other services from around Australia, some areas being easier and others harder but at the end of the day it is the large candidate pool that makes it so competitive making it all the more important that you have the right approach when pursuing a career with the NSW fire brigade.

Tips on How to Ace the NSWFB Recruitment

My advice if you are going to apply for a position with NSW fire brigade and intend on being successful is as follows:

  • Do everything in your power to make sure you have the right information and you are aware of the skills, processes and hurdles you will face throughout the recruitment process.
  • Invest in yourself and your ability to communicate your skills and attributes as well as your ability to pass any of the physical and mental requirements asked of you.

Key Considerations for NSWFB Recruitment Difficulty

  • Aptitude or cognitive testing accompanied by a suite of work safety style firefighter psych tests is the biggest hurdle for most applicants
