QFES Basegrade Firefighter – 2018 Recruitment Campaign Update
Hey there! This is Brent C from Fire Recruitment Australia with a recruitment campaign update for Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES).
I understand that a lot of you have been waiting, if not preparing hard and racking your brains out for this round of recruitment. However, as you know, the process is quite tedious and in fact very competitive so your patience is very much required.
Based on the latest recruitment update, the opening of applications for the 2018 QFES Basegrade Firefighter Recruitment Campaign is postponed.
However, this is not a reason for you to stop with your preparation. This simply means you have more time so use it to your advantage.
I can’t stress this enough but you need to train hard and achieve a high level of fitness for the physical assessments.
You also need to study and sharpen up your aptitude and interview skills as being strong and fit will not give you a golden ticket.
Another thing you can look at is to attend assessment demonstrations, open days and information sessions. QFES will be conducting these sessions in the months up until the opening of applications. If you want to know more about the process and be sure of the requirements of an assessment, attending one of the demos will greatly benefit your application.
…so when is the opening of applications?
Based on the update, the next round will open in the later part of this year instead. This campaign will fill in the recruit training programs for 2018. There is no specifics yet so make sure to check the official QFES website regularly or open my emails as soon as you get them to know the latest update.
