2019 SAMFS SafeSelect Exam

Hey guys!

As SAMFS ramps up their recruitment process, we find ourselves thrown a curveball – Cognify! As Fire Recruitment Australia is no stranger to it, I feel it only proper to provide those who are going to take the test some info on what to look forward to. First off, SafeSelect after merging with Converge International, made it possible for exams to be done online. Applicants are no longer required to go personally to the testing venue. This makes it much more convenient for everyone.

Second, since SafeSelect also uses Cognify, those who took exams using Cognify within the last 12 months cannot take this exam as it will only ask you to release your previous results. So, if you’re looking to apply across multiple fire services, make sure you either do really well on your Cognify exam so releasing previous results won’t affect your chances or, another option is to prioritize which fire service you’d want to apply first.
