Personality Profiling: How Fire Services Do It & The Best Way To Approach It

  1. Fire Services will come up with what they perceive to be the perfect personality profile for a firefighter.
  2. Using a test that entails yes or no questions or a range of statements where you select a range of responses from Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree.  
  3. This will enable the Fire Service to determine exactly where you fit into their profile.

From experience, it is best to be as honest as possible during this test as this shows consistency throughout your test. A mistake applicants often make are to try and trick the process which ultimately won’t work in your favour.
